Sir Thaddeus, written by Adam Mickiewicz, is an iconic masterpiece of literature, also called the Polish national epic poem. Describing the time of Polish nobility, Sir Thaddeus remains one of the pivotal works in Polish cultural heritage. With great pleasure, inspired by Mickiewicz’s opus magnum, we present a night full of dance and fantastic characters. It’s going to be a night to remember!

The porcelain dining set meticulously described in the 12th book is undoubtedly opulent and extraordinary. Incorporating whimsically crafted courses and desserts, it changed depicted seasons with time and course of the feast. Using plant and/or vegetable motives, serve a look inspired by seasons showcased in this scene.

Walk the runway like Count Horeszko, a proud and dignified nobleman. Don’t forget your moustache and a wide skirt.

/ Bizarre OTA /
A custom practiced in Soplica’s times was to serve „black soup” – a soup made with animal blood – to a bachelor as a way to deny him the maiden’s hand. Jacek was served souch soup. Bewitch us with your imagination and serve us a look inspired by this unusual dish. No dripping blood or elements that could stain the floor!

The epos begins with the Invocation, in which Mickiewicz describes the gorgeous vistas of his homeland, for which he desperately longs. Upon reading this famous excerpt (provided in English below), conjure a landscape-inspired makeup look.

One of the men contending for Telimena’s hand was Count Horeszko. Hidden, he drew her lying in the forest, and then gave her the sketch. Present us your gorgeous face with a sketch drawing of it in your hand. Get dressed in beutiful clothing with shiny/glittering elements.

Priest Robak (Worm) is probably the most mysterious character in Sir Thaddeus. He ultimately is revealed to be the lost Jacek Soplica, who joined an order to repent his sins. Show us your identity in a black outfit incorporating a hood.

The polonaise is a Polish walked dance. The scene of this dance in Sir Thaddeus is a famous scene in Polish cinema. It is during this dance that we see the blossoming love of Zosia and Tadeusz. Get inspired by the look of one of them. You must have either a beaded necklace or a sling for your broken arm.

Asesor was an extremely agile hunter. It’s time to brag about your agility while getting your tens in an outfit accented by elements of faux fur.

Telimena is an alluring mature woman, oozing sex appeal and always flirting with men. As a woman of many interests, she loves surrounding herself with art. In a nightgown and with a book of poetry, let your charm make all of our heads turn.
