Historia Bingo LGBT zaczyna się w październiku 1980 roku, wówczas Siostry z ledwie rocznym stażem postanowiły przejąć tradycję amerykańskich kościołów w organizowaniu charytatywnego bingo. Podczas tego pierwszego wydarzenia zbierano na kubańskich uchodźców-gejów. Tamto wydarzenie było umiarkowanym sukcesem, Zakon Sióstr Nieustającej Przyjemności miał dopiero rok, nie był jeszcze powszechnie znany. Od tego wydarzenia, idea Bingo w społeczności LGBT zaczęła się upowszechniać, obecnie mamy regularne Bingo w wielu miastach, organizowane przez różne queerowe środowiska. Aby przypomnieć trochę źródła, w 40-lecie Zakonu zapraszamy na specjalną edycję, która podobnie jak te pierwsze będzie wydarzeniem charytatywnym. Będziemy zbierać na Fundację Cicha Tęcza – organizację zajmującą się środowiskiem LGBT wśród osób Głuchych, mamy nadzieję wspomóc projekt testowania HIV i innych STI osób Głuchych. Zabierzcie drobne, kupony będą dostępne za wrzucenie datków do puszki.
Bingo poprowadzą Siostry z Domu Berlińskiego – Siostra Daphne, Siostra Suzette, oraz Siostra Mary Read z misji poznańskiej. Będą też postulantki z Warszawy Jeannine Brahm oraz Venus Anus. Zasady zostaną nieco zmienione, tak by przypomniały te pierwotne, będzie też kilka niespodzianek, zapraszamy!
The LGBT Bingo history begins in October 1980, when the Sisters, with just one year experience, decided to take over the tradition of Charity Bingo in American Churches. During this first event, Sisters were gathered on Cuban gay refugees. That Bingo was a moderate success, the Order of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence was not widely known yet. But since this event, the idea of Bingo in the LGBT community has begun to spread. Nowadays we have regular Bingo in many cities, organized by various queer environments. In Poznan, regularly organized in Punto.
To remind the roots, on the 40th anniversary of the Order, Sisters invite you to a special edition, which will be, like the first one, a charity event. We will collect for the Salient Rainbow Foundation – an LGBT organization among the Deaf people. They support the HIV testing project and other STIs for Deaf people. Take your coins, coupons will be available for donations.
Bingo will be hosted by the Sisters from the Berlin’s House – Sister Daphne, Sister Suzette, and Sister Mary Read from the Poznań’s mission. We also would see postulants from Warsaw Jeannine Brahm and Venus Anus. The rules will be slightly changed so that the original ones will be remembered, there will also be some surprises, everyone is welcome!
