To jeden z rzadkich w Polsce przypadków tanecznej ulicznej imprezy w sercu miasta. Tutaj do głosu dochodzi istotny element kultury reggae – sound systemy – specjalnie skonstruowane systemy nagłośnieniowe, emitujące pozytywne przesłanie pieśni. Niedoścignionym wzorcem w tej dziedzinie pozostaje legendarny londyński Notting Hill Carnival. Podobnie jak ten największy karaibski karnawał uliczny w Europie, SSF wychodzi poza reggae, oferując również inne gatunki pozytywnej muzyki tanecznej. Pierwsza edycja soundsystemowego święta w 2018 roku zwyciężyła w internetowym głosowaniu na dofinansowanie jako najlepszy dolnośląski projekt kulturalny. Impreza ściągnęła na urokliwą zgorzelecką starówkę tłumy fanów i odbiła się szerokim echem w kraju. W tym roku więcej scen i pierwsi międzynarodowi wykonawcy. Festiwal przekroczy polsko-niemiecką granicę – zabawa zaplanowana jest po jej obu stronach. Przewidziane jest również after-party.
Zapraszamy wszystkich mieszkańców obydwu miast oraz kolorowych przybyszów ze wszystkich stron. Zjednoczmy się w tańcu i uśmiechu.

This is one of the rare cases in Poland of a street dance party in the heart of the city. It becomes a space for the crucial element of reggae culture – self-constructed sound systems that broadcast a positive message. The legendary London’s Notting Hill Carnival remains an unrivaled model in this area. Like the largest Caribbean street carnival in Europe, SSF goes beyond reggae, offering other types of positive dance music as well. The first edition of the soundsystem festival in 2018 won first place in the online voting for co-financing as the best Lower Silesian cultural project. The event attracted crowds of fans to the charming Zgorzelec Old Town and was widely heard in the country. This year you can expect more stages and first international performers. The festival will cross the Polish-German border – the dance will take place on both sides. An after-party is also planned.
