Czwarta edycja Spontaneous Live Series! Free jazz trio ze Skandynawii! Znany choćby z wyśmienitego kwartetu The Electrics, saksofonista Sture Ericson, kontrabasista Johannes Nästesjö, który debiutował w serii wydawniczej Multikulti Project i Trybuny Muzyki Spontanicznej dowodząc The Robadors Quartet, wreszcie perkusista Håkon Berre, znany z wielu free jazzowych projektów w Europie, przy okazji szef duńskiego wydawnictwa Barefoot Records.

Muzycy promują trasą koncertową swoją debiutancką płytę „Ausfahrt Freihalten”, która wyda wspomniany wyżej label Berre’ego.

Z dziewięcioma międzynarodowymi trasami w ciągu ostatnich czterech lat i koncertami w Copenhagen Jazzfestival, BlowOut w Oslo i Fem Jazz Festival w Banyoles, trio Ericson / Nästesjö / Berre zaczęło zwracać na siebie uwagę Skandynawii i całej Europy. W skład grupy wchodzą Sture Ericson (Szwecja) – saksofony i klarnet, Johannes Nästesjö (Szwecja) – bas i Håkon Berre (Norwegia) – perkusja. Ericson i Berre, obaj rezydujący w Kopenhadze, pracowali razem w różnych konstelacjach w ostatnich latach, np. W formacji the Maria Faust Jazz Catastrophe. Jesienią 2014 roku poznali basistę Johannesa Nästesjö z Malmo i utworzyli trio ENB. Bazując na saksofonie, klarnecie, basie i perkusji, a także na preparowaniu różnych przedmiotów, trio bada różne aspekty swobodnej improwizacji. Efektem tego jest zróżnicowana przestrzeń dźwiękowa z szerokim wachlarzem wpływów, począwszy od improwizacji, poprzez tekstury tonalne, aż do liniowej gry w parze z relacjami do free jazzu i jazzu. Trio wyda debiutancką płytę „Ausfahrt Freihalten” w duńskiej wytwórni Barefoot Records 11 marca. Będzie ona promowana tygodniową trasą przez Polskę i Niemcy w marcu 2019 roku.

With 9 international tours over the last four years and concerts at Copenhagen Jazzfestival, BlowOut in Oslo and Fem Jazz Festival in Banyoles, the trio Ericson/Nästesjö/Berre has begun to attract attention around Scandinavia and Europe. The group consists of Sture Ericson (SE) – saxophones and clarinet, Johannes Nästesjö (SE) – bass and Håkon Berre (NO) – drums. Ericson and Berre, both based in Copenhagen, have worked together in different constellations in recent years, e.g. the Maria Faust Jazz Catastrophe. In the autumn of 2014, they met bassist Johannes Nästesjö from Malmo and formed the trio ENB. Based on saxophone, clarinet, bass and drums, as well as various objects and preparations, the trio explores different aspects of free improvisation. This has resulted in a varied soundscape with a wide range of influences ranging from improvisations focusing on tonal textures, to pitch-related linear playing with relations to the free jazz- and jazz tradition. The trio will release their debut-CD “Ausfahrt Freihalten” on the Danish label Barefoot Records on March 11th. This will be marked with a week-long tour through Poland and Germany in March 2019.

Sture Ericson (Sweden): alto-, tenor- & baritone sax, bass clarinet, clarinet, composer. Sture Ericson emerged on the Swedish scene for experimental jazz and improvised music in the 80’s as a member of the internationally recognized unit Position Alpha. Playing in this group until –95 and releasing four LPs and two cd ́s, touring extensively throughout Europe and South America in clubs and at festivals. The next mayor project started in 2000 with the formation of the group The Electrics. Its members from the start and up to the present day are Axel Dörner (D) – trumpet; Sture Ericson – reeds; Ingebrigt Håker Flaten (N) – bass; and Raymond Strid (S) – drums. The Electrics has created a very unique musical brew drawing from its members ́ experiences in jazz, free jazz, European improv and contemporary classical music.

Johannes Nästesjö (Sweden): works within the genre of modern jazz, improvised and contemporary music as a professional double-bass player and teacher. He has for the last years toured frequently in several different countries in Europe, as well as Vietnam, Gambia, Mali, Brazil and USA and has appeared on 34 recordings. During the last years he has been working with Tom Chant, Agustí Fernández, Joe Morris, Ramon Lopez, Marco Mesquida, Ramon Prats, Albert Cirera, Peter Nilsson, Ståle Liavik, Lotte Anker & Vasco Trilla and many more.

Håkon Berre (Norway): drummer and composer who currently resides in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he works as a freelance musician and educator. His playing is characterized by an inventive and energetic drumming, using a rich palette of sounds from a wide diversity of trash and objects, and occationally incorporating real-time electronics. This can be heard on a discography spanning 37 CD’s and LP’s, and has brought him to numerous clubs and festivals all around the world with improvisers like Peter Brötzmann, Phil Minton, Axel Dörner, John Tchicai, Peter Friis-Nielsen, Tobias Delius, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Mikko Innanen, Liudas Mockunas and Susana Santos Silva. He has composed and arranged music for theater performances and art exhibitions, in addition to several interactive sound installations exhibited at art museums in both Denmark and Norway.
