A legendary new kind of Open Mic, this show combines elements of beloved Polish folklore with the excitement of modern day reality television competitions!

When you think of Kraków you can’t help but think of the legend of the Wawel Dragon. Although the original dragon was slain, a new incarnation has arisen. This new dragon’s lair is in the underground bar, Mr. Vavelsky.

The dragon, hovering above the main stage, challenges comics of all levels to get on stage, bask in the spotlight, make people laugh and defeat him with their comedy. Each comic is guaranteed 1 MINUTE on stage before the dragon „awakens”.

Once the dragon „awakens”, keep the audience laughing and the dragon stays happy; eventually dying from laughter after 4 MINUTES. However, once awoken, the dragon can also eliminate comics with his smoking “fiery” breath!

Along with your host, Mark Wawrzyniak, the dragon will require the help of audience members to help decide the fate of the performers.

Entrance is only 10zl (8zł with a valid Student ID). If you’re on stage entrance is free and we’ll even give you a free beer to help calm the nerves of doing so!

If you’re not the type to enjoy stage time, we still love you and cannot wait to entertain you. Bring some friends, have a laugh, encourage the dragon to “SMOKE ‘EM” and enjoy the evening. Anything can happen!

ATTENTION COMICS interested in performing:
If you would like to perform, just post „spot please” in the event discussion up to 23:59 on the Tuesday before the show to guarantee a place in the lineup! IF THERE ARE MORE THAN 12 COMICS REQUESTING SPOTS, we will post the names of the comics on the Wednesday before the show (latest); if not everyone requesting a spot gets to perform.

To secure your spot please arrive no later than 19:30; after this time, SPOTS WILL BE OPEN TO PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN SIGNING UP ON THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT. Please note sending us a direct message or spot requests in the comments of other spot requests does not guarantee a spot, as we only take signups from the posts on the event page itself.
